The courtyard inside the
Ducale in Venice Italy. This is one of those shots in which
you see a scene and move in for the shot. Only moments before
the shutter releases can final adjustments be made in composition by
moving and inch or two in any given direction. This assures
that all the details are in place. Wide angle lens distorted
the lines a bit, so I framed the photo to show the stairway in the
lower left. You can see one of the domes of St Marks Basilica
also. The marble work is magnificent. The pillar along
the right is off a bit, but only adds to the appeal of the
photograph by making the carvings a main focus.
