Dew and Cone

Chat buddy, Dew, enjoys an after dinner ice cream cone in Vancouver, BC.

Back in Indianapolis, it was hot.  Like almost 100F hot.  I was helping with the installation of freezers and coolers in a new grocery store.  The roof was on, the cement floor was being poured, but the walls were not yet complete.  No air conditioning.  I picked up the car the night before showing up for work at 5 am to beat the heat.  At 2pm, I left work, went to the parents home to get a shower and my backpack.  Then drove as far as I could before getting tired.  I pulled over at a rest area to sleep in the car.  Woke at 3 am and started driving again.  Nebraska during sunrise is beautiful.  Tired again, I took a short nap near the Great Divide in Wyoming in the early afternoon.  Then drove all the way to Boise Idaho before stopping for a couple of Guinness.  The end of this portion of the journey came to an end 2 hours after leaving the pub when I pulled over somewhere in Oregon to get some rest.  I think I drove 20 hours today.
