The Great Smoky Mountain National Park
While on a spring flower shoot in The Great Smoky Mountain National Park, I came upon this scene. With tripod contorted in a manner it has grown use to, my lens was found just a few inches away from the rock in the lower right. Aperture closed to increase the depth of field. 4 seconds of light burning upon slow 35mm film. The print shows multiple shades of green springing to life. The browns from the previous year's fall mingle with pillows of moss. And that Smoky Spring Stream, babbles just enough to give you peace. A close look at the print reveals details of the above mentioned.  Stand back, and you may feel as if you can walk directly into the scene.

A friends neighbor was looking at some of my work when he said that he wanted a copy of this.  His offer...  $150.00
I counter offered with $125.00.  He now has print #1.
My promise to him was that I'd not sell one cheaper than $125.00

film exposed:   April 2000

16 x 20 print      $125.00
