Town of Geiranger on the
Geirangerfjorden. This is said to be the most beautiful fjord
in all of Norway, so Mike and I decided to take a ferry ride from
Hellesylt to Geiranger. Sorry about the sky being washed out
with light.
Thursday July 14, 2005: The Geirangerfjord was added to the
UNESCO world heritage site list for it's natural scenic value.
It joins the list which includes
such other stunning natural sites as the Grand Canyon in the USA,
the Great Barrier Reef off Australia and the Galapagos Islands.
