After abruptly
leaving Nova Scotia during my winter tour in 1998, I quickly drove
down the Atlantic coast to get to New York City for New years in
Times Square. I had a bit of time one afternoon, so I did some
hiking on Fire Island. It was a very windy and cold day.
when walking into the wind, my eyes would tear up. I had to
stand near my tripod to block the wind when shooting. During a
large gust, I released the shutter to expose this frame. The
dry grass in the foreground is blurry because of the high winds.
