Glacial Hike

I had never walked on a glacier until I arrived at this area of Mount Rainier.  At Paradise Meadows it is just a short steep hike to the snowfield.   In the lower left of this photo, you can see a hiker walking upon the snow.   The mountain in the distance is Mount Saint Helens.  I could also faintly see Mount Hood Oregon in the distance, but it didn't show up on the film.
