Cape Flattery

High tide at the furthest point north and west in the lower 48 states.   During my 2nd visit to the Makah Indian Reservation on the Olympic Peninsula, I took a bit of a detour from the main path so that I could get a good angle for the high tide.  There is a Lighthouse on the far island.  I waited for many minutes to get the proper photo here.  Catching the wave pounding on the rocks to the right of the island made this photo a bit more dramatic for me.  I was told that a whale had been hanging out in this area all season, but I didn't catch sight of it.
