Yonder Hill


Little Round Top on the Gettysburg Battlefield. 
  This monument is to Governor K Warren.  I was there as the sun was breaking out of the clouds and a ray lit the spot where the monument stands.

3 pm July 2nd, 1863
General Meade tells Governor K Warren to ride over to yonder hill to check the situation.  From this vantage point, Warren could see that the union army had a vulnerability.  He went against orders and ordered men to defend this clear high spot which overlooks the battlefield.
